7月9日，第十届上海国际机床展（EASTPO 2008），亚太地区最具规模的品牌展会，在上海新国际博览中心隆重召开。
近70000M2规模，来自26个国家和地区的862家展商，展示了海内外机床行业的精品，83542名专业观众汇聚一堂，尽享机床盛宴。
The 10th Shanghai International Machine Tool Fair (EASTPO 2008) was closed on July 12, 2008. During 4 days of the show, it attracted 862 exhibitors and 83,542 visitors from 26 countries or regions to the show with exhibitor's latest products and services.

开幕式上原外交部驻联合国大使、外交部部长助理沈国放、原中共中央组织部常务副部长赵宗鼐、中国机电设备招标中心主任谢荣全、上海市对外经济贸易委员会副秘书长俞建明、韩国驻上海总领事馆领事元东填、韩国机械产业振兴会副会长尹东燮、上海市机械工程学会理事长童天雄等出席开幕式。11日晚，中央电视台《新闻联播》对上海国际机床展进行报道。
The show attracted wide attention and support from leaderships, Such as Zhao zongnai, Former Vice minister of the organization department of CPC Central committee, Yu Jianming, Vice secretary-general of Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trade Commission, Dong Jin Won, Consul of Korean General Consulate in Shanghai, Dong-Sup Yoon, Executive Vice Chairman of Korean Association of Machinery Industry.
